Who we are
We are a non-profit organisation with charitable status, created in 2010 with the purpose of enriching the lives of Peterborough residents and visitors.
Managing over 20 venues covering library, heritage, theatre, art, and healthy living sites, Vivacity is committed to working with local communities, partners and organisations to bring inspirational and life-enriching services to Peterborough.
Our revenue is reinvested back into the city, so your gym membership, Key Theatre ticket or coffee purchased at the museum goes towards providing better opportunities within our communities.
Make a donation
Your donations mean we can continue to operate many of Peterborough's cultural, heritage and leisure venues and activities ensuring they are accessible to everyone in our City.
We reinvest profits from our commercial activities into Peterborough and also welcome additional support from individuals and organisations.
Our health and wellbeing sessions support people recovering from or living with health issues such as cardiac illness and cancer. Through accessible, specialist classes, we help over 18,000 people a year in the Peterborough area. These sessions also promote health and provide peer support and friendship.
Our Vivacity book bus is central to our reading development outreach programme, working with schools and young readers across Peterborough to engage children with reading and helping to tackle the low literacy levels in our city. Last year, this programme helped over 13,000 children.
Our annual inclusive sports day takes place in June and provides opportunities for children, young people and adults with additional needs to enjoy a range of sports and activities whilst having fun with friends and family.
